Islamophobe? I never even heard the term until “Dean’s World…”

Over at the blog “Dean’s World,” there is a serious fracas going on with blogger Dean Esmay purging his blog of people he considers Islamophobes.

I happen to agree with him entirely and find his criteria more than fair. But I don’t provide you with the link to start a debate – I don’t think any debate on this issue is productive. I do provide it so you can witness his move and the reaction to it, and ask yourself whether this is a fight that the Right will undergo as a whole very soon. I actually think it is, because the eagerness for allies of any sort by any given political position has allowed for us to tolerate positions for far too long that we would be uncomfortable with, if it weren’t for the fact we feel alone otherwise.

Independent of the “Islamophobe” issue, we do need a way of seeing each other’s true colors… (yeah, I know, I’m painted as a “liberal wuss” right now).
